A local Kansai-jin recommended this ramen joint – Human Beings Everybody Noodles 人類みな麺類, claiming it would be “震撼三觀” (shake up your three fundamental perspectives). Trust me, I was hyped up to try it, waking up bright and early to start my Osaka food tour, ready to QUEUE AGAIN. Luckily, it wasn’t too terrible; just a brief wait of around 10-15 minutes.
I snagged a seat by the counter, offering me a front-row view of the chef working up magic right in front of me. I went with Human Beings Everybody Noodles’ classic ramen, slapped on some extra Chashu, and tossed in a side of gyoza. The ramen and gyoza taste good, but to be honest, there wasn’t anything remarkably special about it that’s worth raving about. The Chashu got me all hyped up. I eagerly watched as he pulled it out and sliced it before me — it looked incredibly tempting and tender. However, my excitement might have overshadowed the reality. It was not bad, don’t get me wrong, but once again, there wasn’t anything truly noteworthy about it.
